I’ve been known as the girl who would do anything for love, “soldier of love” as some people call it.
I’ve loved a person who couldn’t love me back. It took me 3 years to finally realize that I deserve to be loved too. Then came this guy who showed me that. Who made me feel loved. Who swept me off of my feet. Who makes me want to wake up each day. Who now means the world to me.
I love everything about him. I love how he sometimes annoy me because e knows how pikon I am. I love the way he laugh, the way he smiles, I even love watching him sleep. Years have passed and my feelings for him didn’t changed, not in one bit. But as we all know, relationships aren’t always easy. Problems and issues will get in the way. Almost 6 years in a relationship, and we’re already past the so-called honeymoon stage. We came to a point of breaking up, a lot of times! And to tell you honestly, the past weeks have been really tough for us. We’re trying to patch things up and hopefully, everything will be okay again. Is it then that I realized that I need to change the way I see love. Love isn’t just a feeling, it is not always about the “kilig” and the butterflies you’ll feel in your stomach. Love is also a choice. A choice that as you wake up everyday, you’d still choose that same person. You’d still want to love that person in spite all the good and the bad.
